My Precision Nutrition coaches hat is the star of this show.

In the video I explain why this hat is more than just a hat to me. It represents a community of coaches that I belong to, and for me this is important. It is part of my identity.

And this is important for you too. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs suggests that beyond the basic human needs – shelter, food, warmth, safety – we have psychological human needs too.

‘Belonging’ is a psychological human need that is required to feel happy, fulfilled and is an important component of overall wellness.

Having delved into my own life, I belong to several ‘groups’ and bigger purposes. Everything from my family, to my career, fitness, and beyond.

I am lucky to feel that I belong. I’ll be honest, it comes and goes, and it takes effort.

I know that many of us are finding things challenging at present, and if you feel a lack of belonging, you feel a lack of purpose and have no sense or greater ”why”, then I encourage you to look at your life from 30000 feet.

How can you become more connected?
What do you value?
What is important to you?
What are you skills and interests?
Who do you want to be?

Then go out and build your life, your networks, your community, and live in a way you feel proud to. In a way that aligns with the above questions.

As mentioned, it takes effort, and if you currently feel like you don’t belong, this is worth doing.

I hope this helps, and just to let you know, I believe in you.

I believe you can achieve success in your health, fitness, career and relationships in a way that is unique to you.

So I’ve created the comprehensive 7 step New Leader Game Plan that helps professional men who lack confidence in their health, to become the new leaders of their health and their life.
